Amanaki Saigon Boutique Hotel is a beautiful and classically decorated 4-star establishment that opened in mid-2020. It’s a popular hotel for couples in Saigon District 1. Selected rooms have a city view jacuzzi or a large in-room bathtub.
Its large rooftop jacuzzi is something not so common and there’s also a well-equipped gym with a free-to-use sauna and two steam rooms. A nice treat is the complimentary afternoon tea, however, it isn’t served in a special lounge area but in the restaurant.

Hoang Lan Hotel is a friendly family establishment that is great for the price. It’s behind some buildings in an alley so even though it’s next to District 1, it’s pretty quiet. For a 3-star hotel, it has really nice wooden furnishings, spacious rooms with comfy chairs in most, and some rooms have wooden flooring.
The hotel has an elevator, which some hotels of this grade lack, its Netflix TV is a real bonus, but the minibar is a bit expensive. The included breakfast has simple but delicious choices, especially the Pho noodle soup. The lovely old couples serving breakfast aren’t very fluent in English but will cook your eggs as you like.

The Art – Nice To Home Saigon is a lovely little homestay suited to young people on a budget. There is only one mixed dormitory room with bunk beds sleeping 8 people. Everything is clean and comfy and each bed comes with a small tabletop, lamp, and a personal locker.
The owners are very friendly and they have a dog and some cats that you can befriend. The shared kitchen is well-equipped and guests are welcome to cook up whatever they want. The bathroom is shared so it may be a bit noisy for the beds nearby. A nice little extra is a small table at the front desk for morning coffee.

All Signature rooms and suites come with a variety of exclusive services including a separate breakfast and check-in lounge. Sherwood Suites is a highly recommended apartment-hotel in District 3 just outside of District 1. Their studio apartments and suites are larger than average, making them great for families. Amenities include a kitchenette, washing machine, and a TV in the lounge and also en suite bedrooms.
A rarity for hotels in Vietnam is the temperature-controlled pool. It’s partly open to the elements and on the first floor conveniently next to the gym and bar. A small games room has just a pool table, darts, and table soccer, but it’s a hit with older kids. Their popular hourly free shuttle service has drop-offs to top destinations around District 1.

They’re quite newly established and the first class service includes welcome drinks. They may offer you little surprises if you book a room for a celebration. During the pandemic, they have been a little understaffed at times resulting in delayed services.

D1Mension Residences is one of the top 5-star properties in Saigon. It’s a serviced residential building with additional short-term and holiday rentals. There’s no in-house catering, but each apartment has a fully-equipped kitchenette. There are two pizza restaurants on the ground floor commercial space.
Other facilities include a washing machine and wide TVs with cable. There’s also a coworking space and a sky view wine lounge. On the ground floor are a children’s playground and a stunning koi pond.
The rooftop infinity pool is quite unique. It’s a glass pool using saltwater and serviced towels are provided to all guests. Other facilities like the spa and gym require separate charges as does car parking. Pets aren’t allowed in D1Mension Residences.

Maison De Camille Boutique Hotel is an inexpensive 4-star with a French-style design and lovely interior. They’re in Binh Thanh District, a few kilometers away from District 1 but there’s a free shuttle twice a day to Saigon Notre Dame Cathedral. Welcome drinks are served when checking in with a reservation.
The rooms’ balconies have chairs to sunbathe or just laze around. The rooftop has a game room with mini-golf, darts, and table soccer. The breakfast buffet has simple Western and Asian dishes but is well prepared. During the pandemic period, the hotel may be understaffed at times.
2. Orchid Boutique Hotel & Apartment

Orchid Boutique Hotel & Apartment is in District 7 in an upscale neighborhood in Koreatown, not too far from District 1. The rooms are clean with nice beds and balconies. The hotel is relatively new, well-priced, and the staff is friendly and helpful.
The Deluxe Doubles and Penthouse apartments also come with a kitchenette. The breakfast is good but sometimes limited in choice due to pandemic conditions. Around the hotel are many FnB establishments for food and beverages, gyms, and spas.

The Hut Boutique Hotel-Notre Dame is a modern restoration and green concept hotel. It opened in early 2019 in a good central location in District 3. The downstairs coffee shop is highly appreciated for its gourmet coffees, delicious cakes, and breakfasts. It also showcases temporary art collections.
The interior and decoration of the Hut are particularly appealing to young guests and those remote working. Depending on the room, there may be a kitchen and a washing machine. The staff are very friendly but sometimes still finding their feet in hotel management.

The Bloom Pham Viet Chanh is a great apartment hotel with beautiful wooden flooring and furnishings. It’s in Binh Thanh District’s new Japantown with many popular Japanese-owned or inspired establishments including sushi restaurants and bars. It’s only 4 km from District 1 and the original Little Tokyo.
On the rooftop are a jacuzzi, a small gym, and minigolf for some leisure. The spacious rooms are clean, nice and new, but the view is obscured by tall buildings. The Deluxe King Studio has a bathtub. The restaurant serves pretty good food but the choice is limited and there’s one flight of stairs to get to it.

The Art – Tina Hotel and Apartments is a good budget choice also in Binh Thanh District. The service is pleasing and includes daily housekeeping. Bathrooms include a hairdryer and towels, but not complimentary toiletries. The coffee lounge serves a good breakfast, but many diners and coffee shops are nearby.
The wide windows in each unit provide a garden view and plenty of natural sunlight. The rooms are new with clean bedding, a sofa, a flatscreen TV, and a fridge. The kitchen areas are a little bit small but well equipped.
