No matter what your choice or budget, Nha Trang has something waiting for you.

Best Beach Hotels on Nha Trang Foreshore

1. InterContinental Nha Trang

InterContinental Nha Trang

Reasons to Stay

  • Contemporary design
  • Jacuzzi pool areas
  • Professional child services
  • All-day dining
  • First-class fitness center

For all the local and international 5-star hotels on the Nha Trang beach foreshore, the Intercontinental is the ultimate in modern sophisticated style. It has an excellent lobby lounge cafe, bar, and a semi-private hotel beachfront. There’s an indoor and outdoor kids’ play area, but Kids Club and baby care are extra.

The modern design places side rooms at an angle to the ocean therefore maximizing the value of the seaview as much as possible. The long pool is excellent for swimming laps or relaxing in jacuzzi areas, but the water gets chilly in the season as there’s no heating.

2. Novotel Hotel

Novotel Hotel

Reasons to Stay

  • Ideal central location
  • Spa and beach services
  • Adjoining rooms available
  • Seaview rooms with balcony
  • Child care services

One of the popular international 4-star hotels in Nha Trang. Novotel is most appreciated for its location. It’s less than 10 minutes to busy nightspots like Louisiana Brewhouse and Sailing Club. There’s also a nightly seafood-focused buffet and a standard menu.

Novotel is top-rated by solo travellers, but is also family-friendly. There’s no Kids Club, however, but basic child care services are available. The outdoor pool is at the rear side so it lacks sun and gets a little chilly. The gym, however, is nice and spacious.

3. Star Beach Panorama

Star Beach Panorama

Reasons to Stay

  • All rooms spacious
  • Studios available
  • Seaview fitness center
  • Quality restaurant
  • Outdoor pool & rest area

Rooms and studios managed by Star Beach in the exclusive Panorama Condotel complex. Panorama is one of the top-rated properties near the city foreshore. There are deluxe, family, twin, and double rooms with sea or city views. Seaview studios are equipped with a kitchenette.

Most of all, people love the location, the servicing, and the pool. There’s also a spa and a 24 hr front desk. The complex has a concierge as well as currency exchange. For onsite relaxation there’s a bar and a restaurant onsite. The buffet breakfast is optional, although pretty expensive.

4. Nha Trang Horizon Hotel

Nha Trang Horizon Hotel

Reasons to Stay

  • Outdoor infinity pool
  • Kids club & karaoke
  • Rooftop cafe bar
  • Onsite convenience store
  • Full spa and fitness center

Horizon Hotel is along Bai Chong Beach, Pham Van Dong Drive. It’s the bay across the river near the Hon Chong promontory. There aren’t a lot of conveniences on this north side of Nha Trang, but the Horizon has all you need.

The hotel has an a la carte restaurant, but there’s a pizza restaurant, seafood restaurants, and some nice cafes within walking distance. The hotel also manages beach umbrellas and loungers. For a 5 star hotel, the soundproofing could have been better.

Best 4 Star City Hotels in Nha Trang

1. ibis Styles Nha Trang

ibis Styles Nha Trang

Reasons to Stay

  • Central location
  • Family-oriented
  • Onsite convenience store
  • Nice pool area
  • Gym, spa, sauna, steam room

The Ibis is a couple of blocks behind the main beach road. It’s fairly new (2018) with bright enlivening decor, but the rooms are a little on the small side. The pool area is better than most 4-star hotels in Nha Trang, and there’s a kids section too.

They also have an indoor play area and a Kids Cub. There’s a nice ground-floor lobby cafe with snacks, and the restaurant serves a la carte for lunch and dinner. Breakfast quality, though, has suffered during the pandemic. There are facilities for the disabled.

2. Seana Hotel

Seana Hotel

Reasons to Stay

  • New modern construction
  • Fully wheelchair accessible
  • Hypoallergenic interior
  • Well soundproofed rooms
  • Interconnecting rooms available

The Seana is a block behind the main road just 200 m to the beach or 350 m to Sailing Club. There are plenty of conveniences in the neighborhood. As a relatively new hotel, the interior is refreshingly modern and rooms include modernities such as bidet toilets.

A couple of things appreciated about this hotel are the good sound proofing and professional staff. There’s a small fitness center and the pool, although comparatively small, has a nice view. Some deluxe rooms have a seaview, as does the common cafe area and the 21st-floor panoramic restaurant.

3. Opox Nha Trang

Opox Nha Trang

Reasons to Stay

  • Top reviewed property
  • 200 m from the beach
  • Spacious and homely
  • Garden and terrace
  • Stuff for kids to do

This Opox managed property is in a quiet alley just around the corner to the beach. Studios have a kitchenette, a washing machine, and also a tumble dryer. For more basic rooms, there’s a well-equipped communal kitchen and a free-to-use washing machine.

No catering nor breakfast is provided, but the location is very central. There is also bicycle rental for getting to nearby places. They have extra stuff for kids like games, puzzles, DVDs, and books. You can also request a fold-up bed.

4. Xavia Hotel

Xavier Hotel

Reasons to Stay

  • Quieter end of Nha Trang
  • 20-min-walk to main venues
  • Good fitness center
  • Poolside bar
  • Motorbike rentals

Xavia is at the lower end of Nha Trang. The Oceanography Institute and Bao Dai Palace is a 25-min walk south, and 20 min up the beach to Sailing Club. There’s a nice pool-side bar, and the pool is a decent size but partly covered so the water can get a bit chilly.

Other facilities include a spa and a steam room, but the sauna costs extra. Unfortunately, there are no beach loungers, but there are some about 10 min or so up the beach. The hotel, although not so central, also provides motorbike rentals.

Cheap Budget Hotels and Best Homestay in Nha Trang

1. Papaya Homestay

Papaya Homestay

Reasons to Stay

  • Affordable comfort
  • Bidet toilet and shower
  • Toiletries and hairdryer
  • Air conditioning
  • Friendly host

Papaya is a really well-reviewed homestay with a couple of rooms. Both have a private ensuite bathroom with a bidet toilet and a shower, while the studio room has a little kitchenette. Both rooms have extra long 6.5 ft beds.

The homestay is in a little back street about a 10-min-walk to the Agar Tower or Cho Dam Market. It’s clean, the host is really helpful, and there are a few nice cafes and a pizza restaurant nearby. There is also a roof terrace with a washing machine.

2. XO Hotel & Apartments

XO Hotel & Apartments

Reasons to Stay

  • Rooms and studios
  • Washing machine all units
  • Quiet location
  • Air conditioning
  • Spacious

XO is a 3-star property with a top value rating. Relatively new, it opened in January of 2020. It’s in a quiet alley with some nice cafes and a supermarket nearby. The beach and Louisiana Brewhouse are only a 7-min walk away.

The apartment hotel does provide a basic breakfast buffet, but the Deluxe King Studio and Family Room have a kitchenette with a microwave. Everything is clean, simple, and all the basics you would need including toiletries and a hairdryer.

3. Xala Boutique Hotel

Xala Boutique Hotel

Reasons to Stay

  • Central beach location
  • Uplifting decor
  • Enclosed showers
  • Buffet breakfast
  • Ticket tours and currency exchange

There are not so many 3-star boutique hotels in Nha Trang, but this Xala opened in 2018. Although nicely done, some rooms are a little small, and the bathroom area kind of cramped. They have motion sensing eco lights where appropriate and opt-out for daily towel replacements.

Sala is just around the corner from the main beachfront road with Louisiana Brewhouse right nearby and also Sailing Club. Breakfast is good enough for a couple of days, but the quality has been up and down, especially in the pandemic period.

Best Resort Hotels in Nha Trang

1. L’Alya Ninh Van Bay Resort

L'Alya Ninh Van Bay Resort

Reasons to Stay

  • Private and secluded
  • 1 or 2 roomed villas
  • Multiple views per villa
  • Dedicated butler service
  • Nature trails, biking, kayaking

L’Alya is a villa-styled small resort across the waters of the beautiful Ninh Van Bay. It’s about 50 km from Cam Ranh International airport, and then a boat ride across the bay. All villas have plunge pools and are completely secluded. Views can include the beach, ocean, mountain, and lagoon.

The beach is not so ideal for swimming and is quite rocky, but there’s a large oceanfront infinity pool. The 24 hr butler service is first class, and all units are wheelchair accessible. They also feature complete spa services and treatments.

Free activities include nature trails, biking, kayaking, and yoga. Snorkeling, diving, and fishing cost extra. There are also games, DVDs, and a library. A couple of downsides are only bedrooms have aircon and the airport transfer is a little pricey.

2. Evason Ana Mandara Nha Trang

Evason Ana Mandara Nha Trang

Reasons to Stay

  • Best beach property in Nha Trang central
  • Wi-Fi also on the beach
  • Kids club and activities
  • 24 hr restaurant & infinity pool
  • 4 dining venus

The Evason is the only of central Nha Trang hotels directly on the beach — and a private beach serviced with Wi-Fi. The Evason has been around for a while and the property is somewhat aged, but well maintained especially the gardens. The staff are very professional and courteous.

The resort has a kids club, games and indoor play area, as well as babysitting services. You can easily arrange diving tours and other activities. Kind of unique to this resort is the 24 hr restaurant next to the infinity pool.

There’s a well-equipped fitness center, but some things like the jacuzzi, spa, and sauna cost extra. Although a great location, the resort is comparatively expensive for what you get, and there is no regular shuttle service into the city.

3. Whale Island Resort

Whale Island Resort

Reasons to Stay

  • Rustic and remote
  • Acclaimed diving location
  • Boat direct from Cam Ranh Airport
  • No TV or motorbikes
  • Sandy white beaches

At Whale Island Resort you have an entire island to yourself. The location is also a winner for whomever comes here. Whale Island was listed as a top ten diving location by Forbes Magazine in 2020. From March to October, you can book PADI diving courses and trips. Windsurfing, kayaking, and other watersports can be arranged and equipment rentals are reasonably priced.

Smaller bungalows lack furnishings, natural ventilation is not so good, and overall better design and maintenance would add more value to the resort. Only toilet paper is provided so you must bring other toiletries, and not-so-fast wifi is only available in the bar area.

Breakfast is included and is satisfactory, but lunch and dinner are often quite nice. Lunch is optional and dinner also costs an average of $15 extra per day. Unfortunately, there are no snacks available and drinks and fruits are extra. The island has to deal with mainland trash washing up, but they try to clean up every day.

The resort is a 3-hour boat ride from Cam Ranh International Airport, or 1.5 hrs by road and a ferry if you’re coming from up north from Tuy Hoa Station or Airport.
