When it comes to luxury, the Four Seasons is legendary. So if you are looking for scenic beauty in the lap of indulgence, this won’t disappoint. Other price points and local experiences may be just as enthusiastic and warm, but not nearly as professional and intuitive.

2. Victoria Hoi An Beach Resort And Spa

Victoria Hoi An Beach Resort

Key Notes

  • Private beach access
  • Many outdoor activities
  • Picturesque views
  • Free town shuttle
  • Free on-site guest parking

Victoria Hoi An Beach Resort and Spa is a 4-star establishment located on the shores of Cua Dai beach directly facing the Cham Islands. The well furnished rooms have a beautiful blend of French, Vietnemese, and Japanese decor. It’s only 5 km from Hoi An Ancient Town.

Like many resort hotels the beach is private, but a nice thing about Victoria Hoi An are the plentiful outdoor activities. These include tennis, badminton, and bicycles — while watersports, fishing, and boating cost extra. The resort organises lantern making and calligraphy classes which make great souvenirs.

The spa and wellness center even has a hamman — a Turkish style bath and steam room. Although in need of an upgrade, the spa offers a nice selection of massages. The gym at the hotel is small with limited equipment, so may leave some disappointed.

With a scenic view of the Cham Islands, the all day dining restaurant serves local Vietnemese cuisine in addition to Asian and international fare. The extensive breakfast spread also has live stations, while the ala-carte dinner menu lists some vegetarian options.

The large swimming pool is surrounded by a tropical garden. Its comfy deck chairs and recliners are popular with sunbathers. The spa has a nice massage pavilion, but for those who enjoy their workouts, the tiny gym is a disappointment.

At the travel desk, the staff are experienced in organising and recommending tours or excursions. It’s only a 5 minute taxi drive from Ancient Town for evening dinner or sightseeing.

For the most part the breakfast buffet and restaurant is good, but things have been inconsistent during the pandemic period. The beachfront bar and cafe is excellent though for sipping a cocktail to the gorgeous view. There’s also a cafe in the lobby.
