Mia Resort — A Boutique Getaway in Nha Trang Synergized to Nature

Mia Resort is a luxury getaway along the picturesque coastline due south of Nha Trang City. It’s less than 20 km to either Cam Ranh International Airport or downtown Nha Trang. Mia is a contemporary boutique resort built around a small private bay set against a cliffside. It has eco-greened flat roofed villas and condos synergized to the picturesque setting. Mia Resort has oceanfront pools, topclass dining, with a focus on well-being and relaxation.

One thing that impresses about Mia Resort Nha Trang is the beautiful landscaping. Villas are nicely spaced with the exotic ambience of tall leafy palms, manicured lawns, verdant spaces, and rich shrubbery.

The prevailing decorative theme is local granite and stone set against light-toned wood. Granite pathways are beset with contemporary designed stone lanterns. This nuanced Japanese aesthetic blends to the perfectly shaped surroundings.

Concrete structures are also offset with natural brick and cobble-stoned walls. These extend to the interiors with wicker furnishings and latticed ceiling inlays. This, together with Buddhist-inspired wall reliefs, creates a pan Asian synergy with echoes of Bali, Japan, and Indonesia.

Book a Spacious Condo

Mia Resort Condos

Condos can be beachfront, including family rooms, or garden view. Family condos come with two additional beds for under twelves. Both airy and specious, you can also go aircon-free with the ceiling fans. Nice little extras include after-sun lotion and insect repellent.

The rooms are all very spacious. They come with a comfortable settee and a bathtub in the ensuite. There’s also an outdoor sitting area. The satellite TV with streaming movies and the bedside Bluetooth speaker are a nice modern touch.

Nestle Into a Villa

Garden villas are set further back. Each has a lovely lawn area and also a hammock for outdoors. Amenities are the same as condos, but just more spacious and secluded.

Beachfront villas are situated nearer the resort hub. Upgrades include a plunge pool outfront, a large four-poster bed, and an additional outdoor shower.

Cliff villas offer more exclusivity, also with a splash pool, but 180-degree panoramic views. They are near the Mojito’s tapas and cocktail bar. Two-roomed cliff villas have a kitchenette. These are well-suited for a more luxurious family stay, or friends traveling in a group.

The beachfront residence is the ultimate in luxury. These are 5 bedroom deals for up to 10 guests. They include barbecue facilities, a rooftop infinity pool and sala, plus a fully equipped kitchen. They’re a top choice for corporate groups or wedding guests.

Repose to Wellness and Leisure at Mia Resort

The very design of Mia Resort is a foundation to wellness and relaxation. Natural harmony, spaciousness, privacy, and a soothing landscape create the perfect synergy.

The Mia Resort Spa

The Mia Spa has a delightful range of treatments. These include specials for men, a basic menu for teens, packages for groups, and a three-night wellness special. Outdoor therapy treatment is also available.

You can enjoy a full range of treatments including body wraps and waxing. Their signature treatments include a mineral sea salt facial and a lymphatic drainage face massage, which is excellent.

The extra firmness caviar serum treatment is top-of-the-range. Local inspirations include traditional Vietnamese massage, coffee cellulite body scrub, coconut scrub, and a Nha Trang mud body wrap.

Fitness and Outdoors

Mia Resort is a little more focused on taking it easy rather than an abundance of out-and-about activities. Compared to the overall design of the resort, the gym is a bit small and machines are not so spaced out. It’s adequate for a full body workout and there are free weights and exercise balls.

Outdoor activities include one tennis court with an additional basketball hoop, but it’s best to reserve in advance. There is beach volleyball at the far end of the beach. Private yoga instruction is available, but complimentary group sessions are only on Sundays.

One niche feature is that the Mia Resort has its own diving reef. You can also rent kayaks or take a guided kayak tour. Parts of the beach are rocky, but these have some exclusive sunbathing platforms. There are two infinity pools. The one near La Baia restaurant is quieter, while the beachfront one near Sandals is larger.

Mia Resort for Kids and Families

The grassy outdoor areas all around the resort, and especially outside garden villas, are a delight for young children. There is also a kids playground with slides, tire humps, and a tire jungle gym. It’s sufficient for young children, but not incredibly exciting.

Indoors there is a kids playroom. It has lots of nice comfy bean bags and quite a decent range of kid’s toys and activities. There’s also a television for cartoons and movies. The Kids’ Club is located at the Sandals Restaurant. They have daily handicraft projects, and weekend baking activities.

The Wining and Dining Experiences at Mia Resort

There are two fine dining restaurants at Mia Resort Nha Trang. The food is always of a high standard, but the standard menus at both restaurants unfortunately don’t differ much. All food and beverage outlets have a great selection of cold pressed juices and health boosters.

Sandals Restaurant for Beachside Dining

Sandals is where the breakfast buffet takes place. It’s a lovely setting that extends to the pool and then the sandy beach. The focus is traditional fair with grill specials, themed evenings, and especially seafood buffets.

The regular menu is quite expensive with many Vietnamese favorites, local seafoods, but also a small selection of burgers, pizza, and pasta specials. Typical health-based favorites and vegetarian menu is somewhat lacking.

Baia Restaurant for a Quieter Vibe

The Baia Restaurant is on the other side of the resort. There’s a more elevated view with excellent patio dining. The pool outfront is smaller than at Sandals. It’s quieter here, but the pool somewhat takes away from the view of the restaurant.

The standard menu is similar to Sandals, so it doesn’t offer anything unique except the view. Currently, for the duration of 2021, this restaurant is only open for functions and special occasions.

Mojito’s Lounge & Bar

Mojito’s Lounge & Bar has a range of local and Asian-based snacks as well as Vietnamese and Mediterranean platters. The local Nha Trang Nem Nuong (nem nướng) is a must-try.

As the name suggests, they have excellent Mojitos, but also a great range of G&Ts and contemporary Rum cocktails. Teas, coffees, soft drinks, and health drinks are served too.

Exploring Nha Trang Beyond Mia Resort

Mia Resort is in quite a secluded location. If you wish to venture out, you can take advantage of the resort’s concierge service. Otherwise, you can take a taxi or Grab Car. The resort does have a shop though for souvenirs, beachwear, and other essentials.

Behind the resort is a mountainous nature area —  Hoàng Ngưu Sơn — which is good for hiking and climbing. You can ask the concierge about how to get there.

From Mia, it is also convenient to go to Tu Van Pagoda in Cam Ranh City. It’s a fascinating structure made from coral and shell. Other than that, there are plenty of things to do in Nha Trang, including the best diving in Vietnam

The closest Nha Trang spots to the resort are the Vinpearl sea cable, the Institute of Oceanography, and the Bao Dai Villa. Hon Mieu and Hon Tam are two islands well-worth a visit.
